VPN ban for under-18s in the UK

A new ban on VPNs could be made law in the UK, affecting under-18s, following a vote in the House of Lords. The amendment to the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill aims to prevent children from using VPNs to bypass age verification restrictions on accessing adult content. The proposed changes will now be considered by MPs, with a three-month consultation on the ban’s advantages and disadvantages to be launched by the Government.
